This album was put together in 18 days for the 2013 FAWM (February Album Writing Month) Challenge. Everything was written, performed and recorded on a single ipad.
A lot of this work was done on longhaul flights, Airport lounges and in my hotel room on a 2 week business trip. As a consequence jetlag, fatigue and alcohol all played a very big part. There are a couple of tracks that I created when I was completely jetlagged and couldn't remember writing the next morning.
While the styles in the album vary quite a lot ("The Beginning" and "The End" are fairly hard edged electronic, "A Quiet Moment of Bliss"," The Dark Mood Returns" and "After it has all Gone" are fairly chilled/ambient, and "Dude or Dude not" and "Passive Aggressive Missive" are all about rhythm with fairly minimal instrumentation) The whole project stands as a single piece.
